The Council on Environmental Quality Announces

The Western Regional NEPA Roundtable in Shelton, Washington

The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) will hold a series of regional expert roundtables to discuss "The Task Force Report to the Council on Environmental Quality - Modernizing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Implementation." The Report's recommendations to CEQ are designed to improve federal agency decision-making by making the NEPA process more effective, efficient and timely.

The Western Regional NEPA Roundtable will be held on October 30-31, 2003 at the Squaxin Island Museum Library and Research Center (70 SE Squaxin Lane, Shelton, Washington 98584). The October 30 session will begin at 9 a.m., and interested members of the public will have an opportunity to present their views at 3:30 p.m. following the roundtable discussion. The session will conclude after the public's views have been presented. The October 31 session will begin at 9 a.m., and members of the public will have an opportunity to present their views at 11 a.m. following the roundtable discussion.

The Squaxin Island Library and Research Center is located about sixty miles south of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and can be reached from the airport by taking I-5 S to US-101 N, and then proceeding right onto SE Old Olympic HWY, right onto SE Klah Che Min Drive and right onto SE Squaxin Drive.
